You can easily buy and activate the Membership plan of your choice in the control panel. If you don’t have an account with us yet, you can make one in just a few clicks. If you already have an account with us, open the control panel. Make sure there is enough balance on your account. If your balance is sufficiently topped up, go to the “Membership Plans” tab in the left menu and select the plan of your choice. Your plan will immediately be activated.
Simply put, buying domains at cost price means you pay exactly what we pay for each domain at the registries. There are no hidden fees or charges, or unexpectedly high renewal prices. On top of that, as we are directly accredited with most registries, we are continuously negotiating with them for the best prices, and we often run special, Member-only domain promotions.
Domain operations are actions that can be performed on a domain. The most common ones are registrations, renewals, transfers, and updates, followed by trades (change of ownership) and restores when domains are in hard quarantine/redemption.
As a Basic, Expert, or Pro Member, you get registration, renewal, and transfer operations at cost price for the 1,900+ TLDs we’re accredited for. As a Supreme Member, you get all domain operations at the price we get them, even for TLDs we’re not directly accredited for. Consult our Knowledge Base for a full overview of our accreditations.
It is not possible to cancel your Membership after you have purchased it. If you do not want to renew your Membership, you can turn off the option to auto-renew your Membership in the control panel.
Yes, you can upgrade and downgrade your Membership Plan at any moment by activating the plan of your choice.
Your Membership plan will expire in either of the following cases: - One calendar year has passed since the plan was activated. - The maximum number of domain operations has been reached We will send you an email notification 30, 14, and 2 days before your Membership plan is set to expire. We will also notify you when you have reached 95% and 99% of their plan limit.
If you are a new Member, the auto-renew feature will be turned on by default in your account. This means that your Membership will automatically be renewed as long as you have sufficient account balance. Our reminder emails will remind you to top up your balance before this happens.
If you do not have sufficient balance in your account, or if you don’t have the auto-renew feature turned on, your Membership will expire. As soon as your Membership Plan expires, you will start paying non-Member prices again for our domains and products.
No. It is not necessary to purchase a Membership in order to buy and manage domains and security products with Openprovider. However, a Membership is highly recommended if you manage multiple domains, even if you only manage a few of them. Becoming a Member will give you access to domains at cost price, as well as to discounted rates on SSL certificates, SpamExperts and other security products. Even if you have a small portfolio, a Membership will help you save. On average, you only need to register or renew 10 domains in order to get the value of a Basic S Membership back to you!
